Solo act performing originals and covers in the Northwest US,  2005 – present.  Opened for the Clumsy Lovers, played at gigs in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

The Heaters, an R&B band in Des Moines, Iowa 1992 – 2002  We opened for Tower of Power, the Fifth Dimension and played hundreds of gigs in Kansas City, Des Moines, Iowa City, and Minneapolis

Jazz combo in Des Moines, Iowa 1994 – 2002  Governor’s events,  fundraisers, and appeared on two national Easter Seals telethons.

VOICE OVER TALENT – 1992 – present      Lava Mountain Video Game, Radio, audio books, and film VO for hundreds of commercials and jingles including McDonalds, Napa Auto Parts, Iowa Lottery, Powerball, political candidates, Hy-Vee (National grocery/pharmacy chain), Anderson-Erickson dairy products, Wal-Mart Garden Center, BH&G TV, Carnation Baby Foods, the Des Moines Playhouse, and many others.

KALANI OCEANSIDE RETREAT, Puna, HI   November 2012 – awarded a month-long residency on songwriting and performance merits.  As part of this residency I created the songwriting workshop which enhanced Kalani’s educational/class offerings and allowed me to immerse myself creatively and compassionately in the community.

SERVICE

PEND O’ REILLE ARTS COUNCIL – Board Member  2010 – 2012
POAC brings international visual and performing arts to North Idaho (a mostly remote and rural community).  Each performance has an educational component for K – 12 students in addition to the public performance.  Art classes are provided to elementary school children, in the classroom setting, as art is not offered to this age group through the public schools.
EUREKA INSTITUTE – Board Member 2013- Present
The Eureka Institute exists to cultivate, inspire and encourage people who endeavor to make the world better. The Eureka Center, our stunning facility in North Idaho, is the premiere lifelong learning and leadership center in the
Inland Northwest.

WRITING   1982 – Present

AIDS Educational Films  1993 – 1995   Funded by the Iowa Dept. of Education and the Center for Disease Control, I researched, wrote, cast, and directed three videos to educate Middle School students about AIDS.  All three videos focused on raising or maintaining self-esteem as a way to avoid being pressured into doing something that could expose the youth to HIV.

Interviews   2010 – Present   I conduct telephone interviews with celebrities and write accompanying articles for American Personalities.  The latest is of Bill and Susan Hayes about their book, Trumpet.

Executive Communications  2000 – 2002   I was trusted to write the sensitive and personal internal communications for Chad Holliday, CEO DuPont and Rick McConnell, CEO  Pioneer Hi-Bred, Int’l during the $7 Billion acquisition of Pioneer Hi-Bred by DuPont.
